Michelin Star awarded to KOL Restaurant

KOL is the first restaurant from critically acclaimed Chef Patron Santiago Lastra. Championing seasonality, sustainability, and an appreciation for wild food, KOL’s menu overlays the techniques and heritage of Mexican cuisine with the landscape of Britain.

Since its mid-pandemic opening in 2020, KOL has been recognised internationally as one of London’s best restaurants; currently placed at no. 17 in the World’s 50 Best, the highest placed UK restaurant, Europe’s La Liste, the National Restaurant Awards and GQ. KOL was awarded one Michelin Star in 2022, which it retained in 2023 and 2024.

The ground floor of KOL boasts one of London’s most impressive dining rooms. A spiral staircase leads downstairs to the KOL Mezcaleria and the Chef’s Table, a space inspired by the grand houses of Oaxaca, complete with its own private kitchen. The latter is available for groups and private events.

The KOL Mezcaleria is a special bar dedicated to the exploration of agave spirits. Cocktails are crafted with wild, seasonal ingredients sourced from the British Isles, and paired with Santiago’s interpretation of traditional Mexican street foods, or ‘antojitos’.
